Zelenskyy Visits Defenders Near Heavily Contested Pokrovsk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to address Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region on Tuesday. The president confirmed that he consulted soldiers at the operational headquarters of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya area, an urban center approximately 20km from Pokrovsk.

Intense Conditions in the Area

Updated analysis from a national effort indicated that Russian forces had advanced deeper into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though significant areas was not fully held by both forces. The status is precarious, with updates indicating that invading units were digging in and building up positions in some districts.

Invading troops are making progress in the Pokrovsk direction and appear to be operating with enhanced confidence within urban Pokrovsk.

Research institutes noted that defense units had freed a large area of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk effort.
