Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving

In a unexpected collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Features

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition

This release also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma." True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.
